When life changes, therapy can help you find steady ground again.

Life is full of transitions, some expected, some not. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, parenting, caregiving, burnout, or feeling like you've lost yourself somewhere along the way, therapy offers space to gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with intention.

Life doesn't have to be falling apart to benefit from therapy.

Sometimes it's a major life transition. Sometimes it's anxiety that won't quiet down, relationship stress, parenting challenges, or simply the feeling that you've been taking care of everyone else for so long that you've lost sight of yourself.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, gain perspective, build practical tools, and move through life's challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Private Pay Practice

Summit Point Counseling is a private-pay practice. Rather than working within insurance restrictions, therapy is guided by your goals, your pace, and your unique needs.

Private pay allows for greater flexibility, increased privacy, and individualized care without session limits or diagnosis-driven treatment requirements.

Hi, I'm Kate.

For more than a decade, I've worked alongside people navigating some of life's hardest seasons. Before opening Summit Point Counseling, I spent years supporting individuals and families through crisis, caregiving, aging, disability, grief, and major life transitions.

What I've learned is this:

Most people aren't broken. They're carrying more than anyone was meant to carry alone.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I won't simply nod while you talk, I help you better understand what's happening, develop tools that actually fit your life, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

Therapy with me isn't about becoming someone new. It's about reconnecting with who you already are underneath the stress, expectations, and overwhelm.

Outside the office, I'm also a wife, mom of two girls, horse lover, podcast host, and someone who understands how quickly life can become full. When I'm not seeing clients, you'll usually find me outside, spending time with my family, or working on one of many ideas that keep me inspired.

What To Expect From Therapy

Therapy should feel approachable.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.

During your first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another, talking about what's bringing you to therapy, and exploring what you'd like life to look like moving forward. Together, we'll develop goals that feel meaningful to you and create a plan that supports those goals at a pace that feels manageable.

There is no expectation to have everything figured out before you arrive.
