About Kate Pearson | Therapist in Littleton, Colorado
I believe we all need someone in our corner.
For more than a decade, I’ve sat with people during moments that changed their lives: a crisis, a loss, a shift in health or independence, or a relationship that no longer feels the same. I’ve also seen how much can go unsaid when someone is busy surviving, caring for others, or doing what everyone expects of them.
That experience shapes how I work as a therapist. I want to understand the whole person in front of me: what you’ve lived through, what matters to you, what’s working, and what you’re ready to change. We can make room for difficult feelings and find practical ways to move through what’s happening now.
My Path to This Work
Before opening Summit Point Counseling, I spent years working with adults and families through crisis, aging, disability, caregiving, abuse, neglect, and major life transitions. My work in Adult Protective Services brought me alongside older adults and people whose safety, independence, and trust had been affected by difficult experiences. It taught me to listen closely, respect each person’s choices, and look beyond the immediate problem to the life around it.
Over time, I became increasingly drawn to the conversations that couldn’t be resolved with a resource, a plan, or a single decision. I wanted to give people space to understand what they were feeling, reconnect with their strengths, and decide what they wanted for themselves. That led me to therapy and, eventually, to Summit Point Counseling.
Today, I work with older adults, caregivers, parents, and people navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and changes in identity. I also offer equine facilitated therapy alongside rescue horses at Zuma’s Rescue Ranch. The settings may look different, but my starting point stays the same: getting to know you and shaping our work around what matters in your life.

Outside the therapy room
I’m a wife, a mom of two girls, a horse lover, and a podcast host. I love being outdoors, spending time at the barn, and finding reasons to laugh when life gets messy.
I also know that it’s possible to care deeply about the people and work in your life and still feel stretched thin or a little disconnected from yourself. That’s part of why I care so much about helping people make space for their own needs, interests, and voice.
